    Specialty Program*
    The key to managing the costs of these extremely expensive drugs is to make sure the right members meeting the right clinical criteria get the right drugs at the right time in order to achieve the best clinical outcomes. With our specialty drug management program you can be sure the dollars you spend on specialty drugs are being spent with a well thought out plan provided by a clinical team that has access to the most up to date, peer reviewed, clinically relevant research. Some specialty drugs are covered under the medical plan and some under the pharmacy plan, making it difficult to understand the spending trends. The cost of these drugs can vary significantly depending on where the drug is administered.  For example, some physicians place a significant mark-up on the cost of the drug when they administer the drug in an office setting. We can install a fee schedule that will level the playing field by charging the same fee regardless of administration site.

    Mail Order*
    Our mail order is provided by 1 of only 35 VIPPS certified pharmacies. To become VIPPS certified, a pharmacy must comply with licensing and inspection requirements of their state and each state to which they dispense pharmaceuticals. In order to display the VIPPS seal, pharmacies must have demonstrated to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) compliance with VIPPS criteria including: * Patient rights to privacy. * Authentication and security of prescription orders. * Adherence to a recognized quality assurance policy. * Provision of meaningful consultation between patients and pharmacists.  .

    Customer Service
    DirectScript is cognizant of the fact that callers require decisive assistance. Our approach to customer service surpasses the industry standard. We provide callers with immediate and vital access to a live customer service expert instead of a "press-the-numbers" machine. In addition we use industry experts to staff our help desk. DirectScript's Customer Service department ensures that all calls are responded to at the fastest level of response time in the industry . To maintain our commitment to excellent customer service, our performance goals are as follows: * Maintain an average speed of answer within 60 seconds, answer 90 percent of all calls within 20 seconds. * Operate with a call abandonment rate of less than 3% - blocked call rate of less than 1 percent. * Currently, less than two percent of received calls require call backs or additional research. * Our experienced customer service staff has access to online information through their computer terminals. The system allows our CSRs to immediately view member, physician, and pharmacy eligibility information, coverage and exclusion tables for benefit edits, pricing information for carrier pharmacy network, and online concurrent DUR messages being sent back to the pharmacies as claims are processed
